Mr Rory Maher is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). He graduated from Monash University in 2003, then undertook training in general surgery, before entering the Australian Plastic Surgery training program.  After completing his training, he undertook a Hand and Wrist fellowship in the UK, specialising in treatment of arthritis of the hand including joint replacement surgery and treatment of traumatic injuries of the hand.

Public appointments include Monash Health, where he specialises in head and neck reconstruction, hand reconstruction and skin cancer surgery.  At Royal Melbourne Hospital he performs hand and wrist surgery and trauma reconstruction.

Private patients can be seen and treated at Holmesglen Private Hospital Moorabbin, Sir John Monash Hospital next to Monash Medical Centre Clayton, as well as Cabrini Hospital Malvern or Corymbia House in Dandenong.
